Are you a media junky? Do you love using Google? We need someone to collect every news article that appears using Google Alerts and keep our media file. Contact gay@peopleforeducation.com for more information. Work from wherever you live in Ontario.

Conference Keeners

Calling all conference keeners - as the weekend of Nov. 13-14th, 2010 approaches, we need help! We need help assembling packages prior to the conference. The weekend of we need people to staff the registration desk and tables, as well as note takers for workshops and panel discussions. Contact jacqui@peopleforeducation.com

Come to our mailings

Looking for a fun way to help out? If you live in or around the Toronto area, we need help stuffing envelopes to mail our newsletter, five times a year. Come during the daytime or evening, it's your choice!

High school students can earn their volunteer hours here.

Web Community: social convenors ~

Do you love spending time on the internet? Do you join discussions or read blogs, websites or facebook? We need people who enjoy participating in online discussions and being part of online life, to train to become moderators and/or social convenors in our online community. Write for our newsletter

No matter where you call home in Ontario, you can write an article for our newsletter. What's new in your school, or in your school board? Tell us about your burning issue or great accomplishment. Or perhaps you have an idea or tip to share with other parents!

Submission deadlines:

• October 15th, 2010

Articles should be: from 100 to a maximum of 300 words long.

Put your administrative talents to work in our office

Answering the telephone, filing, assisting with fundraising events... our office may be small but our workload is big!

If you can volunteer during the day for 3 or 4 hours at a time, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., we need your help! Our office is located in downtown Toronto on the subway line at Bathurst and Bloor.
