People for Education is an independent parent-led organization, working to improve public education in Ontario's English, Catholic and French schools.
VISION
Public education has the capacity to transform and enrich children's lives and is the foundation of a civil society. In a fully publicly funded education system, every child will have access to the education that meets his or her needs.
MISSION
People for Education:
monitors the education system through participatory research and policy analysis
educates parents and policy makers about the impact of education policy on children and youth
engages parents to become active participants in their children's education
encourages parents to actively participate as engaged citizens in the public education system
advocate for improvements in the education system that will benefit children and youth
works to increase public support for public education
