The Egerton Ryerson Award
| The award is named for the founder of Canada's public education system, a visionary leader in the campaign to ensure that every child had access to education. Egerton Ryerson believed that education should be free for all (a revoluntionary thought at the time) and should educate the children of "the blacksmith and magistrate alike". |
